Bitcoin fell to a near four-month low on Thursday as risk sentiment weakened amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, prompting investors to move away from cryptocurrencies. The decline was also fueled by continued institutional outflows from major Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, with capital rotating into other themes such as artificial intelligence. Bitcoin dropped to $61,442.7 before recovering slightly to around $62,987. Broader crypto markets moved in tandem, with Ether falling 6.45% to $1,754 and XRP down 7.04% to $1.14, while Solana, Cardano, and BNB declined between 7% and 12% amid a lack of positive market catalysts.

  • Revolut plans to offer stablecoins through its upcoming U.S. bank, according to Reuters, citing comments from the company’s U.S. CEO Cetin Duransoy.

  • Agentic payment activity on the Coinbase Base network has surpassed 100 million transactions, suggesting machine-to-machine payments are moving beyond the experimental phase in on-chain ecosystems.

  • The European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) reaches a key deadline on July 1, when the transition period ends, and crypto service providers must obtain a license or stop serving EU clients.
